Two-time Emmy-winning writer
She won her Emmys for the "Superman/Batman" WB series plus "Batman Beyond." She earned another four Emmy noms as well while also contributing episodes of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "Star Trek: Voyager," "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Lois and Clark" as well as "Silk Stalkings" and "Jackie Chan Adventures."
She wrote 38 books for DC Comics and dozens of Web episodes of "Gotham Girls" and "Red Knuckles Gym."
Brooklyn native was studying math at Stony Brook U. when she fell in love with theater. She spent several years in Paris learning mime and movement from Jacque Lecoq and Decruex, then was in a 10-year partnership with Edmund Felix touring the U.S. in the story-theater play they wrote, "African Folk Tales," which has become part of theater canon. After that, she moved to L.A. and began writing for TV.
She is survived by husband Jay Broad, her mother, sister and others.
