Editor ankles at TV Guide

Duo Sonsky, Gissen to o'see mag together

TV Guide editor in chief Steven Reddicliffe has resigned as to pursue other media and entertainment projects. Executive editor Steven Sonsky and editorial development director Jay Gissen will jointly oversee editing at the magazine while parent company Gemstar-TV Guide Intl. seeks a replacement.

Sonsky and Gissen will report directly to John P. Loughlin, who recently joined the company as president of the TV Guide Publishing Group to revive the struggling magazine.

Reddicliffe, who became editor in 1995, said he doesn't have anything specific lined up after his resignation.
