Lyricist-songwriter penned the Laura Branigan tune "When the Heat Hits the Street" and co-wrote the theme song "A Million Children" for the NBC movie "A Place at the Table."
Former creative director of Della Femina/Jeary & Partners, Caposella helped launch several fragrance campaigns including such products as Longing, Dark Vanilla and Stetson Country. Caposella also worked at Young & Rubicam; Dancer, Fitzgerald, Sample; Geer DuBois; and Ktchum Advertising.
In 1995, she authored the book "Share the Care: How to Organize a Group to Care for Someone Who Is Seriously Ill," based on her own experiences.
Over the past two years, Caposella devoted her talents to the stage, penning the musical "Grail," scheduled to bow in the West End in 2003. Her final show, "The Courtesan," is in development.
She is survived by her motherand brother.
