Kilmer sees his way to 'Horizon'
Lensing for amnesiac pic to begin late November

Funded in conjunction with New Mexico's Film Investment Program, principal photography is scheduled to begin at the end of November.
"Blind Horizon" is the story of an amnesiac who tries to warn a small-town sheriff about an assassination plot against the president. Written by F. Paul Benz and Steve Tomlin, Newman/Tooley optioned the script last year (Daily Variety, March 21, 2001).
Kilmer will segue to "Blind Horizon" immediately after "Wonderland," which Emmett/Furla is exec producing for Lions Gate Films.
Vincent Newman, Tucker Tooley, Randall Emmett and George Furla will produce "Blind Horizon." The writers' managers, Chris Bender and J.C. Spink, will serve as co-executive producers.
Haussman, who garnered attention with his spots for Levi's, Dockers and Phillips as well as musicvids such as Madonna's "Take a Bow," previously directed "Rhinoceros Hunting in Budapest." His 1986 U. of Colorado student doc, "Shadow Sign," received a student Oscar nom.
Haussman also is attached to direct "Take Down" for Jerry Bruckheimer Prods. and Disney.
Kilmer recently completed "Mindhunters" for Intermedia.
Recent credits for Emmett/Furla include Screen Gems' "Half Past Dead" starring Steven Seagal, which bows in theaters Nov. 20, and "Narc," which Paramount Pictures will release Dec. 20.
Newman/Tooley is in post on "A Man Apart" starring Vin Diesel, which will be released by New Line Cinema in spring 2003. Scheduled next for Newman/Tooley is "The Courier," directed by Dominic Sena for Splendid Pictures.
