Viacom taps senior veep
Palmer to top corporate development
Palmer has been a key player in Paramount's film financing program for the past three years. During that period, the studio has focused on generating profitability with minimal financial risk.
"I am thrilled to recognize Isaac's dedication and contributions to the company with this promotion," exec VP Thomas B. McGrath said. "He continues to be a tremendous asset to the Viacom Entertainment Group."
Palmer's activities include finding financing partners and structuring, negotiating and administering transactions. He also serves on the boards of international theatrical exhibitor UCI; Famous Players, Canada's largest theatrical exhib; and WF Cinema Holdings, which operates the Mann Theaters chain.
Prior to joining Viacom, Palmer was head of business affairs at Ogden Entertainment in New York.
