NBC's 'Walsh' comes in second
Several other new syndie shows, including ratings monster "Dr. Phil," debuted after the most recent frame for which nationals are available. National household ratings for those shows will be available next week.
"Celebrity Justice," which airs mainly in latenight time periods, earned a 1.2 national household rating for the week ending Sept. 15, according to Nielsen.
Most syndie ratings generally were depressed for the week due to preemptions by special programming related to the anniversary of the terrorist attacks last year.
"CJ's" perf was down 8% from its premiere week the prior frame.
'Walsh' second at 1.1
NBC Enterprises "The John Walsh Show" was the next highest ratings performer, with a 1.1. Nielsen did not include Sept. 11 in "Walsh's" average because the show was so widely preempted.
Warner's "The Caroline Rhea Show" earned a 1.0, down 17% from its 1.2 preem week.
NBC's "Life Moments," like "Walsh" a four-day average, earned a 0.8.
Fellow newcomers "The Wayne Brady Show," from Buena Vista Television, and Telco's "We the Jury" are not included in the national household ratings roundup.
The other major new entry for the week was the off-cable weekly run of "The Larry Sanders Show," which tallied a 1.3.
