Bendavid joins Spelling
New VP helped oversee 'The Division'
Bendavid, most recently at Lifetime, will help shepherd new drama, comedy and reality projects for the Viacom-based studio. She reports to Spelling senior VP of development Ted Gold.
"The appointment of Rachel is part of an ongoing expansion of our development and production slate," said Spelling prexy Jonathan Levin. "We are fortunate to have attracted an executive from Lifetime."
Bendavid was most recently director of original series at cabler Lifetime, where she helped oversee creative aspects of skeins such as "The Division" and "Any Day Now."
She had previously been director of development at USA Networks, where she helped launch "Cover Me" and "The War Next Door." Prior to that, Bendavid was a creative exec at Joel Silver Pictures.
