Olesen, duo partners in 'Crimes'
Pic one of four backed by Danish Film Institute
Danish pubcaster DR-TV and Egmont will contribute to the $1.4 million budget. The film is one of four which the Danish Film Institute approved for public subsidy on Monday.
Norwegian-Swedish actress Maria Bonnevie ("I Am Dina") will star in Christoffer Boe's first feature, "Reconstruction," described as a surrealistic love story. Nordisk Film Production will produce; national broadcaster TV2/Danmark and Swedish pubcaster SVT will chip in on $1.3 million budget.
Also a feature debut, Malene Vilstrup's children's film,"The Ghost Horse", is co-written by Hans Hansen, who will produce for Zentropa Entertainments. It focuses on two lonely girls and their love of a horse, Black Boy.
Credited for several episodes of DR-TV's series, "Unit One," Jannik Johansen will helm his first feature for Mellow Productions in collaboration with U.K.'s The Works. The $2.4 million "Rembrandt" follows a strained father-son relationship, and has attracted finance from Egmont and DR-TV.
