SonicBlue offers monthly charge for Replay

Electronics maker SonicBlue has begun offering a monthly service charge as a payment option for buyers of its Replay personal video recorders. The $9.95 monthly charge is an alternative to paying $250 at purchase time for lifetime service, and brings the machines' prices in line with main competitor TiVo, which has been able to undercut Replay in consumers' minds because it hasn't lumped in the service charges up front.
