20th TV makes dramatic moves
Four execs form team under Salke

Jane Leisner has been promoted to vice president of drama, alongside fellow VP Jeffrey Glaser, while Brett Weitz has joined the studio as director of drama, joining Bridget Hegarty, who's been bumped up to director as well.
The execs all report to Nicholson Salke, who joined 20th in July as senior vice president of drama. In addition to developing new projects, the team manages such series as Fox's "24," ABC's "The Practice" and UPN's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
"I'm lucky to have inherited such a fantastic department here at 20th," Nicholson Salke said. "(Glaser's and Leisner's) creative instincts are right on target, and they have a great sense of the series process. And with the promotion of (Hegarty) and the addition of (Weitz) to the team, I feel very fortunate to be working with such a talented group of people."
Two teams
The team has also been divided into two development groups, pairing Glaser with Hegarty and Leisner with Weitz.
"This enables us to handle the huge quantity of pitches we take more efficiently," Nicholson Salke said.
Leisner joined 20th in 1997, moving up most recently to director. She oversaw development on "Roswell" and "UC: Undercover," among other shows. She oversees production on "Buffy," while Glaser, who's served as VP since 1999, handles "24," "Angel" and the upcoming "Firefly."
Hegarty, who started her career at William Morris, joined 20th in 1998; she currently handles David E. Kelley's roster of dramas.
Weitz joins 20th from Columbia TriStar TV, where he worked under Nicholson Salke as director of drama development and helped develop upcoming series "Everwood" and "Hack." He also spent time at ATG, working on shows such as "The Street."
