Friars plan do to redo Chase

Berle only other entertainer to share double distinction

Chevy Chase will get a second turn on the hot seat as the subject of this year's New York Friars Club Celebrity Roast.

Chase was previously saluted in 1990; Milton Berle is the only other entertainer to share this distinction.

Event will be held Sept. 28 at the New York Hilton Hotel, and broadcast on Comedy Central Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. For the past five years, net has made a tradition of airing an edited version of the closed-door event.

Net's Lauren Gray will exec produce with Paul Miller and Kimber Rickabaugh. Miller also will direct the Comedy Central production.
