As VP of publicity, Quenqua will oversee all aspects of Buena Vista's New York publicity campaigns and report to L.A.-based Heidi Trotta, Disney's senior VP of publicity. He replaces Charles Nelson, who transferred to the West Coast as VP of national publicity.
"Joe's experience and excellent industry relationships make him the ideal candidate -- there's really no aspect of the motion picture publicity he hasn't seen firsthand," Trotta said.
Quenqua joins the Mouse House from PR firm MPRM. A veepee there, he oversaw campaigns for "In the Bedroom," "Ghost World" and "Kissing Jessica Stein" and directed corporate entertainment accounts.
Before that, he was a personal press representative at PMK, working with clients such as Steve Martin, Calista Flockhart and Conan O'Brien.
