'Okay' lands distribs at Locarno

Pic to be released early next year

By ED MEZA

BERLIN -- Bavaria Film has sold U.K. and Swiss rights to Danish box office hit and Locarno contender "Okay."

Although the ensemble comedy left the recently concluded Locarno fest empty-handed as far as kudos are concerned, pic was picked up by new Blighty distrib Metropolis Films even before the event kicked off. It's slated for release early next year.

Swiss distributor Look Now! acquired the film after the first screening in Locarno.
