Movielink adds to exec ranks
New VPs will oversee content acquisition, marketing
Naficy was hired as VP of marketing, also overseeing product, customer service and content groups at the company. She will be responsible for driving day-to-day revenues. Naficy was a co-founder and co-CEO of online cosmetics seller Eve.com, and most recently was interim VP, channels marketing, for Columbia TriStar Intl. TV. She has an MBA from Stanford University.
Algazi was named VP of content, overseeing the company's content acquisition efforts, including studio relations and contacts with third-party suppliers. She also will manage licensing and inventory management, and will report to Naficy.
Algazi has handled acquisitions, co-productions and distribution in various posts at Discovery Networks, MGM Studios and Dove Entertainment. Most recently, she headed content acquisition for wireless service Geocast Network Systems. She holds a law degree from Southwestern University.
