Cartoon Net tunes in to 'Scooby' mania

Net saw a 28% gain in kids 2-11 over last year's ratings

NEW YORK -- "Scooby-Doo" proved to be a small-screen ratings winner last week for the Cartoon Network.

Net aired animated "Scooby" features during its Cartoon Theater block, 7-9 p.m., June 10-13. Tuesday night broadcast of "Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase" was the series' biggest hit, beating all other movie competish in kids 2-11 and kids 6-11.

Compared with same slots last year, net saw a 28% gain in kids 2-11, with nearly 1.5 million viewers tuning in. Older crowd also checked in, resulting in a 46% increase and yielding 322,000 viewers in the 18-34 demo.
