Col TriStar, Egmont renew pic deal
Contract includes 'Spider-Man,' August feature
Two-year contract includes "Spider-Man" and "Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines," and the sequels to "Men in Black," "Stuart Little" and "Charlie's Angels," which will be released through Egmont (Nordisk Film) in Denmark, Columbia TriStar in Sweden and joint distribs in Finland and Norway.
Egmont will contribute a package of purchases from the Cannes Film Festival, comprising Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill"; George Clooney's "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind"; Danny DeVito's "Duplex," from Miramax; and Neil Jordan's "Borgia," from Myriad Pictures.
Serving up Danish
Company also has picked up Danish director Bille August's first Hollywood feature, "Without Apparent Motive," adding inhouse productions from subsid Nordisk Film Production and local features from distribution deals with Zentropa Entertainments and Nimbus Film.
The Danish side will supply, among others, Lars von Trier's "Dogville," Thomas Vinterberg's "It's All About Love," Nicolas Winding Refn's "Fear X," Soren Kragh-Jacobsen's "Skagerak," Lone Scherfig's "Wilbur Is Going to Kill Himself" and Nils Malmros' "To Know the Truth."
