Based on screenwriter Terence Winter's ("The Sopranos") own experiences, "Nailed Right In" is set in Brooklyn against the backdrop of John Gotti's rise to power in the mob. Story revolves around a group of Catholic youths and lifelong friends whose different ambitions threaten to shake their friendship.
"Nailed Right In" will be produced by Southpaw Media Group's Richard B. Lewis ("Backdraft"), Akiva Goldsman ("A Beautiful Mind") and Tove Christensen, and co-produced by Rachel Rothman and Varina Bleil. Southpaw acquired the rights to the project in conjunction with Goldsman's Weed Road Pictures.
"This has been a project that I have been following for a while and have witnessed its evolution with Griffin's and Akiva's involvement," says Jere Hausfater, Intermedia's president of the motion picture group, worldwide distribution and acquisitions. "We are thrilled that Richard Lewis' Southpaw chose us to distribute this film internationally."
CAA brokered the deal and will rep domestic rights.
