Promotion was given in recognition of Ottinger's mounting workload, which has been bulking up since March 2001, when the former veepee of biz development took on the additional task of overseeing all co-production activities.
Recent co-production projects under Ottinger's supervision include the anticipated USA Network series "The Dead Zone," for which Par pacted with Lions Gate TV , and the mini "Messiah: Vengeance Is Mine," a joint venture with the BBC.
"Chris has done a terrific job in finding new ways for us to expand our business beyond just program sales," said Par Intl. topper Gary Marenzi. "His innovative approach has led to breakthroughs in co-production and advertiser-supported programming as well as identifying key international partners."
Prior to dropping anchor at Par in 1997, Ottinger served as exec director of biz affairs for MGM Telecommunications Group.
