Nispel pledges 'Allegiance'

Pic one of inaugural projects of prod'n shingle Kinglem

Musicvideo and commercial helmer Marcus Nispel will direct "Allegiance" for Radar Pictures.

An international thriller about an undercover agent married to a spyhunter for the CIA, "Allegiance" was written by Patrick Lee and William Petrowitch.

David Permut and Steve Longhi are producing "Allegiance" with Petrowitch. Radar topper Ted Fields is exec producing with Scott Kroopf, Joe Rosenberg and LeMel Humes.

"Allegiance" is one of the inaugural projects of Humes' new production shingle, Kinglem Entertainment.

A music industry vet who's written and produced for such artists as Whitney Houston, Ray Charles and the Pointer Sisters, Humes is developing several projects for Kinglem, including "Fast Track," a horse-racing story by Josh Goldstein and Kim Kowsky, and collaborating with "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" creator Nell Scovell on a sitcom called "Hustlers."

Nispel, who's also helming Platinum Dune and Radar Pictures' "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" redo, is repped by CAA.
