Pair unleash Gryphon Films

Content pacts with new company for 'Cooler'

Tech entrepreneurs Robert Gryphon and Brett Morrison have launched Gryphon Films.

Company, based in Hollywood, is in production with Content Film on "The Cooler," which stars Alec Baldwin and William H. Macy. Gryphon and Morrison just wrapped their first pic, "Betrayal." The action thriller stars Erika Eleniak.

Executive producer and chairman Gryphon is an inventor, technology designer and venture capitalist. He co-founded Octane Software, which was sold to E.piphany in August 2000 for $3.2 billion in stock. As Octane's founder and VP of applications, he was responsible for the company's vision and the design of its multichannel CRM software.

Gryphon is currently leading or overseeing management teams at Gryphon Labs, Sagus Capital Partners, P&M Investments and Company Makers.

Producer and president Morrison founded digital imaging company ememories.com, which was recently sold to PhotoWorks, one of the largest photo processing companies in the U.S. Morrison also held executive positions with several high-profile software companies.
