Wind Dancer Films has signed "Kissing Jessica Stein" helmer Charles Herman-Wurmfeld to direct "The Yes Man."
Pic follows a man whose life takes a strange turn when he decides to stop making decisions and says yes to everything. Noah Hawley, author of "A Conspiracy of Tall Men," will pen the screenplay based on his own pitch.
Wind Dancer will produce the film, with Winchester Films as executive producer. Roz Weisberg, Wind Dancer's director of development, is overseeing the project.
Deal was negotiated by the Broder Kurland Webb Uffner Agency and Wind Dancer exec VP Dete Meserve.
Herman-Wurmfeld was named one of
Daily Variety's 10 Directors to Watch in 2002. "Kissing Jessica Stein," a romantic comedy about a woman who decides to give her own kind a shot when relationships with men prove disastrous, was acquired by Fox Searchlight and will be released this weekend. He also helmed the doc "From There to Here," about musician John Oszajca.
