TBS Latin shuffles ad sales staff

Colon upped to VP

MIAMI -- Turner Broadcasting System Latin America has restructured its ad sales team, upping Gretchen Colon to VP of advertising sales, marketing and promotional licensing.

She most recently held the title of vice president of ad sales for Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Colon is now responsible for on-air and interactive ad sales and promotional licensing revenue for all the company's networks and Web sites.

Turner operates CNN Intl., CNN en Espanol, TNT, Cartoon Network and the recently launched Boomerang in Latin America. TNT and Cartoon Network both have pan-regional and specific Brazilian, Mexican and Argentinean feeds.

Based in Miami, Colon reports to Kevin Razvi, exec VP for news networks, Turner Intl., Dave Dickman, exec VP for entertainment, Turner Intl. and Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president, Turner Latin America.

Colon will manage staff in Miami, as well as in the regional sales offices in Buenos Aires, Mexico City and Sao Paulo.

Consolidated force

Under the restructuring, all of those local offices will have a consolidated sales force that can pitch integrated sponsorship packages, including TV media, Internet, promotional licensing and events.

In Miami and Mexico, Claudia Contreras will continue to oversee both sales offices as VP. In addition, she will now be responsible for managing the company's promotional licensing business and will report directly to Colon.

Marta Cogorno has been promoted to advertising sales director for Turner in Argentina, handling ad sales in that country as well as Chile.

In Brazil, Rafael Davini has been promoted to director of advertising sales for TI Brazil, responsible for all of the ad sales revenues in that market as well as supervising interactive ad sales, marketing and communications.

Adeline Cassin remains a VP for strategic interactive sales on a pan-regional basis, and will also now be responsible for developing CNN's advertising. She will report directly to Colon.
