Farrow leaves Allen at ICM

GOOD MORNING: Mia Farrow has signed with InterTalent, seguing from ICM where Woody Allen is represented ... Also set with InterTalent are Jane March, Robin Givens, Andrew Shue and Chris Menges ... Palme d'Or winners Bille and Pernilla August signed with CAA ... And Ally Sheedy's with William Morris ..."Coneheads: The Movie" is the next "Saturday Night Live" seg to make it to Par's big screen. Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin will star as Mr. and Mrs. Conehead. Aykroyd, who co-scripted with Tom Davis, joined Lorne Michaels, John Goldwyn and Bernie Brillstein at Morton's talking a fall start ... Kirk Douglas, Robert Duvall and Richard Harris are being talked to star in the Randa Haines-directed "Wrestling Ernest Hemingway" at WB to start in November for producers Joe Wizan and Todd Black. The story, written by 22-year-old Steven Conrad, about 75-year-olds, is set in Florida. Natch, the thesps would be aged by makeup magic ... Wizan-Black are now in Roseburg, Ore., shooting Par's high drama "Fire in the Sky" starring Jim Garner and a young ensemble cast. It's based on a 1975 Arizona story and has been six years in coming to the screen, scripted by Tracy Torme. It's in the flavor of the 1951 Billy Wilder classic "Ace in the Hole" starring Kirk Douglas. Robert Lieberman's directing "Fire" and Wizan says they'll bring it in for $ 15 million ... Latest music star to make his acting bid is Lee Greenwood. He was here yesterday to tape a musicvideo with Rita Coolidge on "Heart, Don't Fail Me Now"--in black and white and Lee says, "It will be a classic." The song bowed on "As the World Turns." Now, Greenwood wants to sing feature themes--and act in movies/TV. "I'm just married (his wife, Kimberley, was Miss Tennessee 1989) and I want to get off the road," he admitted ... Paul Williams is the first songwriter signed to tune "The Thing Called Love," Par's movie about struggling country songwriters. Williams is winding the soundtrack he's written/produced for "The Muppet Christmas Carol."

IT'S NEXT YEAR'S 'Basic Instinct,' " promises "Romeo Is Bleeding" producer Paul Webster. "It's the most erotic script (by Hilary Henkin) of the year." Peter Medak directs. Oscar nominee Juliette Lewis co-stars as the waitress/mistress of Gary Oldman, whose wife is Annabella Sciorra, with Lena Olin as a sex murderess. And Peter Boyle's a perverse doctor in the biting black comedy. (It'll be tough for Boyle to beat his Hawaiian "chief" performance in "Honeymoon in Vegas.") Producer Webster, whose Polygram/Working Title banner has "Bob Roberts" in release, is planning a sequel to "Drop Dead Fred," also "Prince Charming" and "Posse," a black western to be directed by Mario Van Peebles ... Tomorrow's the 65th birthday of Mann's Chinese theater and, following an 11 ayem forecourt program hosted by Bill Hertz, "Gentleman Prefer Blondes" ('53) and two vintage reels will be screened. Ginger Rogers will be on hand to autograph as Kathryn Leigh Scott's Pomegranate Press launches "Hollywood At Your Feet" and "Hollywood's Chinese Theatre" by the Acad library's Stacey Endres and Robert Cushman. Ginger wrote the forewords. I, too, have fond memories of the Chinese theater--like wearing a toga while m.c.'ing the 1966 preem of "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" and arriving in--a chariot. But, that's another book ... James Earl Jones is here to tape a hostint for American Movie Classic's one-hour spec, "Diamonds on the Silver Screen," which airs Oct. 15, two days before the World Series. Jones batted in "The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings" and "Field of Dreams" plus the upcoming "Sandlot"... James Keach, who directed (and co-starred) with Jane Seymour in USA Network's "Sunstroke" (airing Sept. 23), will reteam in a second for USA with both producing. Keach also will direct a seg of Seymour's CBSeries "Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman." And exec producer Gil Grant set Keach to rein two segs of ABC's "Covington Cross."

THE MELODY LINGERS ON: Parties Plus delivered two truckloads of foodstuffs from their post-MTV Video Music Awards bash to the Midnight Mission and L.A. Mission. There were more than 6,000 on UCLA's Drake Field gobbling up goodies after the awards at Pauley ... After his defeat by Jim Courier, Andre Agassi hied to Elaine's with his girlfriend (not Barbra Streisand). When Courier heard Agassi was there, he said, "That's my turf!"...
