Brian Grazer, up and about (and how) after knee surgery, winged to N.Y. for the finale of "The Paper" and the big city locations of "Cowboy Way." A spring start's hoped for ... Frank Sinatra's "Duets" (Capitol) is pressing now with "listening" parties skedded for L.A., N.Y. and Miami in the next couple of weeks. GOOD TASTE RUNNETH OVER: "The Age of Innocence" in trade paperback hits the No. 1 spot on the New York Times Oct. 3 bestseller list, 72 years after it won a Pulitzer for author Edith Wharton. The reason for the book's revival, of course, Martin Scorsese's brilliant movie version starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Michelle Pfeiffer and Winona Ryder ... Herb Alpert and Shelley Duvall have joined Paul Newman as co-chairs of the Oct. 4 "Children Under Siege" concert for Bosnia at the Greek Theater. In addition to the already announced star musical performers, Britain's Alan Parsons makes his first U.S. concert appearance ... After their Metropolitan Opera 25th anni performance Monday night, Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti were hosted by producer Tibor Rudas, who presents them and Jose Carreras at the July 16 pre-World Cup concert at Dodger Stadium.
