Pubcaster to broadcast 'Artists,' 'Inventors,' 'Composers'

TORONTO -- Devine Entertainment has inked a broadcast sale for 19 of its films with Canada's pubcaster for a three-year term.

CBC Television will broadcast "The Artists' Specials," "The Inventors' Specials" and "The Composers' Specials," as well as the film "Beethoven Lives Upstairs." Terms of the deal between the pubcaster and Toronto-based Devine were not disclosed.

"Composers," "Inventors" and "Artists" are broadcast in more than 50 countries. "Inventors" and "Artists" received 11 Emmy nominations in 1999 and 2000 and won four Emmys. "Beethoven Lives Upstairs" is a Primetime Emmy winner.
