Swartz will formulate and implement strategies for the studio's domestic publicity campaigns, reporting to Amanda Lundberg, exec VP of worldwide publicity. Swartz also will work closely with Los Angeles-based exec VP Janet Hill on Oscar campaigns.

Swartz most recently was senior veep of publicity at Columbia Pictures, where she headed the New York office, working on campaigns for pics including "Charlie's Angels," "A Knight's Tale," "Final Fantasy" and "Riding in Cars With Boys."
Before Col, Swartz spent more than a decade at Miramax Films, orchestrating the publicity campaigns for many of the company's early titles, including "Reservoir Dogs," "The Crying Game," "The Piano" and "Farewell, My Concubine."
As senior veep and then exec veep of special projects, Swartz also ran the company's Academy Awards campaigns. During her tenure, Miramax received 122 nominations and 36 wins, with eight best picture noms. The run included two best pic wins, for "The English Patient" and "Shakespeare in Love." Swartz also was responsible for Miramax's domestic film festival campaigns.
