Ex-Fox Family prez Dekel joins CAA TV

Topper to help steer agency in brand-building ops

HOLLYWOOD -- Creative Artists Agency has hired Elie Dekel, former prexy of Fox Family Worldwide/Saban Consumer Products. Dekel will help steer CAA's strategies in working with TV networks, advertising companies and creative talent to explore brand-building opportunities for marketers.

"Elie has a vast breadth of television and marketing experience, from financing and production to consumer products and marketing," said Lee Gabler, CAA's co-chairman. "His senior-level management experience running multifaceted television marketing campaigns has no equal in the talent agency business."

Revenue generator

At Fox Family, Dekel managed all licensing, home entertainment, promotion, retail development, creative services and special events for the company, generating more than $5 billion in retail revenues.

"CAA is exceptional at anticipating changes in the business climate and executing new ideas that work for artists, for studios and for marketers," Dekel said. "I look forward to joining an agency with that level of understanding and innovation, and the ability to act on it."
