EMI ups Ritto in Denmark

Virgin's Blix exits

LONDON -- EMI has appointed Michael Ritto president of EMI Recorded Music Denmark. Meanwhile, Henriette Blix, managing director of Virgin Records Denmark, is leaving the Brit music major.

Ritto was previously MD of Capitol Records Denmark as well as the label's regional head for the Nordic territories.

Those countries will now no longer be grouped in a separate division, and all of EMI Recorded Music's European heads, who are responsible for both Capitol and Virgin in their individual markets, will report directly to Emmanuel de Buretel, chairman and CEO of EMI Recorded Music Continental Europe.
