Newcomer Colin Egglesfield has nabbed a starring gig opposite Aussie thesp Melissa George ("Thieves") in the WB pilot "Lost in Oz." Show, inspired by Frank L. Baum's "The Wizard of Oz," was penned by David Hayter, who will produce along with Lawrence Bender, Kevin Brown and Joel Smith. Egglesfield has been cast as leading man Caleb Jansen, described as a rugged fighter pilot who accompanies the heroine (George) on her adventures. The actor, who has had guest stints on "Law & Order: SVU" and the short-lived "The Street," can be seen in an upcoming seg of the NBC midseasoner "Leap of Faith."
