HOLLYWOOD -- MTV has announced a pair of international promotions: Antoinette Zel has been upped to prexy of MTV Networks Latin America, and Lisa Hackett has been lifted to senior VP of programming, marketing and operations for MTV Intl.

Zel was the region's exec veep and managing director. Based in Miami, she will lead Latin America operations and also oversee Nickelodeon in the territory.

"Integrating the management of MTV and Nickelodeon Latin America enables us to efficiently and cohesively drive further expansion of our brands," said Bill Roedy, prexy MTV Networks Intl. "Antoinette has the expertise and passion for both brands … having begun her career at MTV Networks with Nickelodeon and establishing MTV Latin America's channel and Web site as leading destinations throughout the region."

Hackett will steer programming, production and marketing between MTV Networks Intl.'s TV channels and Web sites in Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, Latin America and Russia, including VH1 and Nickelodeon. Based in New York, she reports to Greg Ricca, chief operating officer of MTV Networks Intl.

MTV Networks reaches more than 164 countries via 72 channels, 38 Web sites and syndication and licensing businesses linked to MTV, VH1 and Nickelodeon.
