Norge bites Monster

World Brief

Norwegian distribbery SF Norge has taken a major stake in new local production house Monster Media.

"The collaboration further strengthens our involvement in local production at a time when Nordic films represent 15%-30% of box office in Scandinavia," said Guttorm Petterson, SF Norge's managing director. "With several feature projects in development, we expect the company to become a major force in the film community."

Based at Filmparken (the Film Park) outside Oslo, Monster Media chiefs include producer Olav Oen, who started TinMen Filmproduksjon (later purchased by Nordisk Film) and Locomotion Commercials Norge, and producer Trond Kvernstrom, a co-founder of commercial TV channel TvNorge.
