Nick Stahl, Clea DuVall

"In the Bedroom's" Nick Stahl and Clea DuVall ("Girl, Interrupted") have nabbed the lead roles in the HBO one-hour pilot "Carnivale," about a 1930s traveling carnival. Daniel Knauf ("Dark Descent") penned the script and will executive produce with Scott Winant, Howard Klein and Kelly McCarthy. Rodrigo Garcia ("Things You Can Tell Just by Looking at Her") is set to direct the pilot, which lenses Jan. 22 in L.A. Stahl, who recently wrapped the indie feature "Bookies," next stars in the MTV telepic "Wasted," airing in March. DuVall, who earlier this year starred in "Ghost of Mars," has three pics unspooling next month at Sundance: "The Laramie Project," "The Slaughter Rule" and "13 Conversations About One Thing."
