Wilson, Bello aded to cast of Crane biopic

Rita Wilson and Maria Bello have been added to the cast of "Autofocus," which will be directed by Paul Schrader and distributed by Sony Pictures Classics.

Penned by tyro scribe Michael Gerbosi, the biopic follows the twisted and tragic life of "Hogan's Heroes" star Bob Crane (Greg Kinnear), who had a secret and obsessive life videotaping his sexual conquests with the help of his near-constant companion, Johnny Carpenter (Willem Dafoe). In 1978, when Crane was found slain in his hotel room, Carpenter was accused of the crime but was never convicted.

"Autofocus" is produced by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski with Pat Dollard. Pic will begin production Dec. 12 in Los Angeles.

Wilson and Bello will portray Crane's long-suffering wives. They are repped by CAA.
