Letterman company finds funny exec
Kulchak-Robinson ankled her Fox VP of comedy post in fall 2000.
"Our goal has always been to form associations with the smartest and funniest people in the business," said WPI prexy and CEO Rob Burnett. "With that criteria in mind, Kelly is the perfect hire."
During her tenure at Fox, Kulchak-Robinson oversaw the development of "Malcolm in the Middle," "Grounded for Life" and "The Tick," among others. Prior to Fox, she served as VP of development at Gracie Films; she was also head of current programming and series development at the WB.
Gotham-based WPI was launched in 1993 by David Letterman. Its current TV production slate includes "The Late Show With David Letterman," "Everybody Loves Raymond," "The Late Late Show With Craig Kilborn," all on CBS, and "Ed" on NBC.
