NTL tops broadband

World Brief

U.K. cabler NTL has passed 100,000 broadband subscribers, ahead of expectations and making it the market leader. NTL estimates there are now more than 240,000 broadband homes in Britain. No. 2 cabler Telewest has 70,000 broadband subs.
