The fest -- held Dec. 1-8 in Lodz -- will present Sydney Pollack with a visual achievement award for direction, producer Ethan Coen, helmer Joel Coen and cinematographer Roger Deakins with a team award, and vet cinematographer Owen Roizman ("Tootsie," "Network," "French Connection") with a lifetime nod.
In competition for the fest's gold, silver and bronze frogs will be 13 pics, including "Mulholland Drive," "Kites Over Helsinki," "Hearts in Atlantis," "The Pianist" and "The Warrior." Awards are given to the cinematographers.
Other sections include a Roizman retrospective, and a tribute to Polish cinematographer Piotr Sobocinski, who died in March this year.
