U, Kodak reup imaging pact for theme parks

Pact calls for park-related marketing and promos for products such as film and cameras, one-time-use cameras, ride photo capture systems and supplies at Universal Studios Hollywood and CityWalk Hollywood, as well as at Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando and CityWalk Orlando.
In addition, Kodak will sponsor featured attractions in each of U's theme parks: the Universal Studios Hollywood studio tour, the Woody Woodpecker roller coaster at Universal Studios Florida and the Flying Unicorn ride at Islands of Adventure.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the pact is anticipated to be worth several million dollars for U.
The Universal Studios and Kodak relationship began in 1981 with the sponsorship of the Special Effects Stage at Universal Studios Hollywood.
In addition to these theme park agreements, other elements of the existing partnership include an ongoing agreement for use of Kodak motion picture film in U's feature and TV productions, as well as digital restoration services.
