'Swift' justice set
Cornwell pitch is Scott's first under Fox pact

Viewed as a possible franchise by the studio, "Swift" follows a young detective investigating a series of brutal murders who finds himself at the center of an escalating battle between supernatural forces of good and evil.
Fox senior VP of production Michael Andreen is overseeing the project for production prexy Hutch Parker.
Scott Free Prods. prexy Lisa Ellzey, who brought the project to the shingle, will produce in some capacity.
A former photographer and war photojournalist, scribe-helmer Cornwell most recently directed 1996's "Marshal Law" with Jimmy Smits for Showtime/MGM.
Repped by the Broder Kurland Webb Uffner Agency, Cornwell is currently penning Bel-Air's "Sancto Domini"; he also has written "Annihilation" at Columbia and is adapting "The Stainless Steel Rat" for Jan De Bont at Fox.
Ridley and Tony Scott and their Scott Free shingle recently inked a three-year first-look deal with Fox to develop and produce movies (Daily Variety, Sept. 20). Under the pact, the brothers are each committed to directing at least one pic for the studio as well.
Ridley Scott is currently in post-production on Revolution Studios' "Black Hawk Down," and he is developing the film adaptation of German novel "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" with Constantin Film.
