ImagineAsia gets new helmer

Todd Waterman has been tapped director of animation for ImagineAsia, a division of Global Animation Holdings, which also oversees motion capture houses Spectrum Studios in Los Angeles and VirtualMagic Asia in the Philippines. Based out of the company's facilities in Manila, Waterman will oversee the company's team of artists and internally developed projects as well as co-productions and service work. He will report to Global Animation Holdings' CEO David Forbes.

Waterman has worked as an animator, storyboard artists, character designer and animation director. His credits include "All Dogs Go to Heaven," "Rock-A-Doodle" and "A Troll in Central Park" while at Sullivan/Bluth Studios, the MGM sequel "All Dogs Go To Heaven II," Fox's "Anastasia," Disney's "Mulan" and "The Tigger Movie," "Stuart Little" at Sony Imageworks and Universal/Amblin Entertainment's "An American Tail."
