Campbell will raise AFI funds

Glaser vet tapped as CDO

HOLLYWOOD -- The American Film Institute has tapped John Campbell as chief development officer. He will oversee the org's fund-raising, including major gifts, membership and annual giving.

Campbell, previously associate VP for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, steps in for Victoria Silverman who ankled the post, after five years, to become veepee of external affairs for the St. Louis Symphony.

"After a long, thorough search, AFI is very lucky to have found John Campbell," said AFI director and CEO Jean Picker Firstenberg. "His extensive experience working with nonprofits coupled with his knowledge of the creative community make AFI a perfect home for his talents."

Prior to his gig with the Glaser foundation, Campbell was the chief operating officer for Roseanne's shingle Full Moon and High Tide Prods. He also had long-running stints with the American Foundation for AIDS Research and the Los Angeles Center for Living/Project Angel Food.
