DeVoe named CFO at Fox Ent.

New exec for News Corp.

David DeVoe Jr., previously chief financial officer at News Corp. consumer promotions unit News America Marketing, was appointed exec VP and deputy chief financial officer of the media conglom's Fox Entertainment Group on Monday.

In the newly created position, DeVoe will be responsible for coordinating the financial functions for Fox's various entertainment divisions. DeVoe will be based in Los Angeles and report to Group prexy Peter Chernin.

DeVoe, who joined News Corp. in 1994, was CFO at TV Guide before moving to News America Marketing. He is the son of News Corp. CFO David DeVoe.

"Dave will be an extremely valuable addition to (the group's) executive ranks," Chernin said.
