Berkley to visit 'Titus'
'Curse' thesp ready to play 'do-gooder'
Berkley, who gained fame with her starring role in the Joe Eszterhas-penned stripper saga "Showgirls," will play Shannon Titus, the globetrotting, do-gooder sister of series star Chris Titus. She'll appear in three to five episodes of the 20th Century Fox TV-produced skein, with future segs a possibility.
"She's always been daddy's little girl, the perfect little sister, and that just kills (Chris)," Berkley said, praising "Titus" as "such an intelligent and innovative show."
Berkley's "Titus" character is based on Titus' real-life half-sister.
In addition to her role in Woody Allen's "Curse," Berkley recently finished up a West End run opposite Eddie Izzard in the play "Lenny."
Berkley followed "Showgirls" with roles in "The First Wives' Club," "The Real Blonde" and "Any Given Sunday." She also had a multiepisode arc on "NYPD Blue."
Deal was brokered by her reps at Handprint Entertainment and Innovative Artists.
