Ex-ATG employee finds 'perfect place' to practice

Entertainment lawyer Gary Fenton has joined the Beverly Hills boutique entertainment law firm of Colden McKuin & Frankel from his former post as director of business affairs at the now defunct Artists Television Group, the television company Michael Ovitz started two years ago which wound down its activities and ceased to exist in its current form last month (Daily Variety, Aug. 14). At ATG, Fenton spent the past year negotiating TV agreements for that studio's inaugural season.

Fenton began his legal career in the business affairs department of the William Morris Agency's L.A. office where he worked for four years assisting the talent, literary, TV movie, syndication and new media departments in their business and legal affairs.

After WMA, he was director of business affairs at Greenblatt-Janollari Studios where he negotiated and documented numerous writer, director and talent deals including HBO's hit "Six Feet Under."
