Vinton toons to Farnath

Co. implementing strategies for growth, development

HOLLYWOOD -- Jeff Farnath has been appointed prexy-CEO of animation firm Vinton Studios.

The promotion is one of several business strategies for aggressive growth and development being implemented by the company.

Vinton Studios, which produces stop-motion and CG animation programs for TV and cable, plans to expand into feature animation.

Jeffrey Auerbach, entertainment division president, will oversee the move into motion pictures.

Farnath, who replaces Tom Turpin, served a 10-year stint as senior veep and chief financial officer of Walt Disney Feature Animation and Theatrical Prods.
