TM3 set to rebow as interactive net

World Brief

German mini-web TM3 will be re-launched in September as Neun Live, a 24-hour live, interactive channel touted as the only web of its kind in Europe.

"We are creating a totally new type of television," said managing director and minority shareholder Christiane zu Salm.

Station is aiming for a 0.5% market share and hopes for significant revenue through telephone fees.

Originally launched as a women's station in 1993, Neun Live belongs to home shopping channel HOT (48.6%) and the Kirch Group's free TV subsidiary ProSiebenSat 1 Media (48.4%). Zu Salm owns a 3% stake.
