HOLLYWOOD — Bill Bellamy, Morris Chestnut, D.L. Hughley and Shemar Moore have inked to star in “The Brothaz” at Sony specialty arm, Screen Gems.
“The Brothers” follows three black professionals as they face the repecussions of the imminent marriage of a longtime friend and reformed playboy.
Pic marks the helming debut of “Trippin’” scribe Gary Hardwick, and will be produced by Doug McHenry (“New Jack City”).
Bellamy, who most recently starred in Oliver Stone’s “Any Given Sunday,” and Hughley, who toplines ABC’s “The Hughleys,” are both repped by CAA. Chestnut, seen recently in U’s “The Best Man,” was repped by Paradigm. Moore, seen in “Hav Plenty” and “The Young and the Restless,” is repped by the William Morris Agency.
