Miskowich tied to Sony post

Exec to start immediately at Culver City facility

Sony Pictures' High Definition Center, bracing for markedly increased activity in 1998 (when digital TV enters public consciousness), has hired Don Miskowich as VP, business development.

Miskowich, a Clio award-winner and 25-year vet of digital and analog filmmaking, will work cheek by jowl with SPHDC's VP/G.M., Dr. Robert Hopkins in creating and developing new alliances and avenues for growth for the Center, one of Sony Digital Studios' earliest practical growth areas.

Miskowich helped bring Kodak's Cineon CG system to the professional market and has experience as a filmmaker, marketer, technologist and technical evangelist. He will be based at the Center, which is on Sony's Culver City lot, and begins immediately.
