CTIT ups Garcia to VP, sales and prod'n

Move suggests hike in Spanish ops

Nathalie Garcia has been promoted to the newly created position of VP, sales and production for Columbia TriStar International Television (CTIT).

Based in CTIT's Madrid offices, Garcia's new responsibilities will include programming development and international distribution activities.

The appointment suggests that CTIT is stepping up its local production activities in Spain as it has done in territories in Europe and elsewhere.

Garcia will report on local production development to both John McMahon, exec VP and managing director, Europe and Steve Kent, exec VP, Intl. productions, while also reporting to Keith LeGoy, senior VP, European distribution.

Garcia joined CTIT in 1998 as director of sales for Spain. His new role will see an expansion into local production development activities, serving as a point of contact for Spain's independent creative community. Garcia will continue to oversee sales and distribution of CTIT's U.S. programming.
