Fox Cable guns Chun
Exec upped to senior VP, biz development
Chun shifts over from VP of satellite distribution and business development for Fox's parent News Corp.
The new job opened up late last week when Adam Shaw left to join FX, the fast-growing Fox-owned general-entertainment net, as senior VP of business operations and finance, a newly created position.
In replacing Shaw, Chun will get involved in developing new digital networks to go with the 20-plus cable and satellite nets that Fox has set in motion since 1994.

Chun will also help cable operators with ideas for the variety of program services they'll need to fill all of the channel space expected to become available through digital rebuilds.
In his job as VP of satellite distribution and business development, which he took over in January 2000, Chun helped to manage News Corp.'s international satellite platforms and such program services as Sky Sports, Sky Perfect TV in Japan, News Broadcasting Japan and Sky Movies.
Chun joined News Corp. as director of satellite distribution and business development in January 1998.
Before News Corp. Chun was director of finance and business development for the Universal TV Networks Group. He began his career as a financial analyst with the debt-finance group DTA in Newport Beach, Calif.
