Electra to shed light on Vegas

'Lumiere' part of new $17 mil entertainment complex

LAS VEGAS -- Carmen Electra has just signed a two-year contract to star in "Lumiere," a new multimedia production show bowing at the Aladdin Resort early next year.

This marks Electra's first time out as a Vegas production show headliner. Compensation for Electra was not disclosed.

According to "Lumiere" co-executive producer David Tumaroff, Electra will perform 12 shows per week in a 1,100 seat-showroom, part of a new $17 million dollar entertainment complex that is expected to start construction in the coming weeks.

Under a 30-year lease agreement, the complex will be owned and operated by Showclubs of America, LLC. In addition to the theater, the complex will house three separate nightclubs, including a two-story Tatou.

Although the Aladdin opened nearly 11 months ago, "Lumiere" is its first production show. Gary Ouellet is serving as co-executive producer of "Lumiere," skedded to debut in the first quarter of 2002 for an indefinite engagement.
